L’efeste winery – awesome

Awesome winery experience on the outskirts of Woodinville, with Yakima estate fruit. Greeted by a Cleveland girl in a Brown’s jersey! Nikki was very knowledgeable, and then the owner Papa Danny came over. We bought the most wine from one place in our whole trip, so that’s how much we liked them.We first liked their estate Syrah call Emmy, but then had Ceideigh (Kay-leigh) and loved it. The winemaker said said it was made with natural yeast which works out slower than wine made with a added yeast. Danny says grapes stay on the skins longer and so have depth and complexity. We also liked Big Papa, all Cabernet.Their reserve Chard was presented after they realized we were serious. The Lola was awesome, with tastes of ripe pineapple and complex layers, ML and oak softened. Bought several and one to-go with the we drank!Of the 30 wineries visited, this one we’re considering the wine club…. that’s our highest rating.Winenaker interview: They have 1600 wine club members and if the wine isn’t quality, they’d say. I love this quote by the wine maker about quality wine production ‘better to run out of wine than to produce volume of wine with others juice’.Oh and the name, 3 owners last names and a E to balance it ?
